#7 - YESHUA - ALSO FOR THE NATIONS
Genesis 12:3 - "... and through you [Abraham and your descendents]
all the families of the Earth shall be blessed! "

This is the 7th in a series of 7 blogs written for the start of 2025.
We hope they will get your lined up for a great "take off" to not only walk with, but soar with Yeshua - Jesus in the coming year.
They also, if you are just getting to know us, are a helpful starting place to know what we believe and teach about Yeshua and following Him.
They address 7 foundational matters that Yehovah has set in place. Better to build the buidling according to what HE has laid out, yes? ... So what is the framework HE has established? Read and find out!
There are other foundational matters regarding the Kingdom of Yehovah, but for 2025 - at the start - we are only addresses these 7.
Here is the 7th -
The Father's Love for The Nations
When Yehovah promised to bless Abraham and His descendents (Genesis 12:2), He said He was giving blessing to Abraham so Abraham would have blessing to give.
Why did God make Jewish people?
According to Genesis 12:3 He made them so He would have a conduit through which to pour His blessing to everyone on planet Earth !!!
Perhaps this adjusts your view/understanding of Jewish people?
Yehovah spoke.
He said, "This is how I decided to set things up - The good from Myself that I want to get to everyone on planet Earth? The way I'm going to do that is by pouring Myself, My Good into the Jewish people so they have ME and My Blessing to give to all of humankind.
Hmmm.
Now this is making some sense - IF the Jewish people are the conduit, the pipeline through which Yehovah said He was going to pour out Himself, His Blessing to get Him and His Good to every person ... wouldn't it make sense to protect that pipeline so the blessing can readily flow?
It WOULD make sense IF Yehovah cared about getting His blessing to "all the families of the Earth."
AND YOU KNOW WHAT??? HE DOES CARE !!!!!
"For God so loved THE WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son (who came through the lineage of the Jewish people) that whoever believes on HIM should NOT perish, but have Everlasting Life. - John 3:16"
HE LOVES THIS WORLD, SENT HIS BEST, SENT HIS SON.
SENT HIM THROUGH THE JEWISH PEOPLE.
So God is NOT "playing favorites" by saying "I will bless those that bless you (Abraham and your descendents) and I will curse those that curse you - Genesis 12:3."
He is showing how much He cares about THE NATIONS !
(Hebrew - "goyim", English - "Gentiles", simply put - people who are not Jewish).
How?
By making sure He and His blessing have an avenue on which to proceed - reaching every person in the entire world!
God's concern for and blessing of the Jewish people is actually concern for the welfare of and desire to bless The Nations.
Even though the world's 17 million Jewish people are only about 2/10s of 1% of the world's 8 billion people, they have won about 30% of the Nobel prizes given over the years for science and medicine and other categories that deeply impact human life. In other words, the people of this world have been dis-proportionally blessed by the Jewish people. Or restated yet again, the Jewish people have given the world 141 times more benefit than their small numbers would dictate.
Where did all that "extra" blessing come from?
Yehovah, of course - because HE SAID SO...
"through you [Abraham and your descendents]
all the nationsl will be blessed - Genesis 12:3."
For example - Just 1 Jewish man - Dr. Jonas Salk - came up with the vaccine for polio - a horrific disease that wasted away body limbs and functions - afflicting millions of people around the globe (as many as nearly a 1/2 million cases were reported world-wide as recently as 1980).
Through this 1 Jewish man, this scurge of a disease has been nearly wiped off the map. Blessing came to "ALL THE FAMILIES" of the Earth through this Jew.
The GREATEST two blessing to come to humankind through the Jewish people are, of course -
#2 - THE BIBLE - Every book written by Jews except Luke (but please note - there is some evidence he was a "Helenized" Jew. ("Helenized" refers to a Jewish person that took on Greek traditions for philosphy, religion and how to function in life and family.) The Bible - this "Light to our Path" - not only was given by Holy Spirit to be written down by Jewish people - it is the Jewish people who painstakingly produced acturate, hand-written copies for nealry 3500 years - many times dying to protect and preserve The Written Word of God so it could be available to all everybody !
And the GREATEST blessing to come to "all the families of the Earth" through the Jewish people -
#1 - JESUS - The Savior of all humankind. The first Gospel - Matthew - takes the first chapter to rehearse Jesus' lineage going back to Abraham. There are twice as many verses about Jesus' hertiage - the Jewish people - than there are about his birth in Matthew, chapter 1!
There is "no other name given under heaven by which people must be saved - Acts 4:12."
ONLY JESUS!
His name, in Hebrew - what his Mother Mary (Miriam) called Him - is "Yeshua" - a Hebrew word which means "salvation."
"The Lord is patient ... not wanting ANY to be destroyed, but for ALL to come to repentence [and through repenting find salvation and new life in Yeshua - Jesus] - 2 Peter 3:9."
We are ALL God's children - Jewish or Gentile.
Sadly, many have run away from our Father's house.
Our Father in Heaven wants ALL His children - Jewish or Gentile - to come back home and be restored to relationship with Him.
His love and patience shown to the Jewish people is proof of the love He has for EVERY person.
PRAY - "Yeshua, help me see each person you bring across my path as someone You treasure, someone for whom Your heart aches - desiring that they have all the good in Your heart planned for them. Help me remember, Yeshua, that You shed your blood for that person You put in front of me today. Move in me by Your Spirit to shine The Light - The Good News of You - into their life. And please help me act in gratefulness to the Jewish people who have suffered so much for giving humankind Your Written Word and Living Word. Yeshua, please show me the part You have for me in bringing Good News of You back to the very people from whom You came. Amen!"

Stuart Daurmann, who wrote much of the music they performed (including this song), came through my father's Bible Study in NYC in the late 1960s before heading to California to join Jews for Jesus.
