#2 - YESHUA - ALL IN ALL

Psalm 73:25 - "... and besides You I desire nothing on Earth"

Wow!

"Besides You I desire nothing on Earth"

Now THAT's a statement I've made many times ... and REALLY meant it ...

Well, many times I REALLY meant it at THAT particular moment.

But the fact is I desire pleasant and sunny days, great tasting food, and for people to cooperate with how *I* think things should be done.

I desire the sweet kisses of my wife.

Oh... and truth be told ... I desire my mini-van to ALWAYS operate with no trouble and get great gas mileage.

And ... to dream a little ... I also desire to get a pilot's license and to fly airplanes.

And to be COMPLETELY honest ... I wouldn't mind having my own airplane.

And best case scenario would be to have one of those houses that has an airfield in the back yard ... and to be practical ... I guess I desire the finances to keep that house and airplane, etc. going!

But is all that actually going to answer my every need and every desire for every moment and every situation in my life?

One can get a Swiss Army knife that has the answer to nearly every need you might encounter.

But ... alas ... it could get stolen, or might get rusty or bent, or I might not remember what tools it has or I might forget how to operate each one.

Isn't there SOMETHING out there that I could have that could meet EVERY need and fulfill EVERY desire?

Yes ... oh very much YES !!!

But it is NOT a "WHAT" but a WHO !

King David of Israel was fabulously wealthy.  He HAD "much fine gold."

He also had the words The God of Israel spoke that created the possibity of a relationship with our Maker.

It is one thing for ME to say, "I prefer God's Word more than I prefer much fine gold."

Let me let you in on a secret ... I ***DO NOT*** HAVE "MUCH FINE GOLD!!!"

But King David DID !!!

He could literally and ACTUALLY make a choice between the gold and The God of Israel.

And he found Jehovah better -

Better able to answer needs and better able to satisfy desires.

This is REALITY (other times called "Truth") - Yeshua is the only REAL answer in EVERY situation.

A practical second step to walking Yeshua's Way (after step #1 - previous blog - Yeshua ALONE is The Answer), is to make the decision that the reality by which we will operate is that Yeshua is The Answer FOR EVERY NEED AND DESIRE.

So ... what is happening when I am NOT experiencing this reality?  It is because I have not let Him show me how HE meets that need, how HE meets that desire.

HE IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE and NEVER LEAVES US OR FORSAKES US!

THIS MEANS HE IS THERE AND ABLE TO MEET EVERY NEED, EVERY DESIRE.

YESHUA ALONE IS OUR "ALL IN ALL" !!!

PRAY - "Yeshua, please forgive me for seeking out comfort and answers that are not You!  Please show me Yourself when I am in need, and when I find myself desiring all kinds of things.  And please work in me so I choose You alone as my 'all in all'! "
