PASSOVER

Jesus said in John 5:39 - " You search The Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, but THESE ARE THOSE THAT SPEAK OF ME ! "

According to Jesus "The Scriptures" (what Christians call The Old Testament) speaks of HIM.

One powerful way this happens is through the Feasts of the Lord - each one tells us something about who Jesus is and why we need HIM!

Passover was when God freed the Jewish people from slavery.  In the tenth plague God warned that any family that was NOT "hid behind the blood" of the Passover Lamb - they would experienced the first born of the family and the herds being killed.

Those that believed God enough to do what HE says in order to be saved - they were spared that judgement.  This is a picture of those of us today who "hide behind the blood" of "Christ our Passover, Sacrificed for us" - we are spared judgement and are given New Life.

Jesus used the many traditional items and Ceremonial Foods on the Passover Table to explain who He is and why we need Him.

• The Unleavened Bread - Matzah - is pierced and bruised and striped - made without yeast/leaven it is "humble" and pure - a wonderful picture of Jesus.
  
  
• The Bitter Herbs - we eat it to remind ourselves how bitter our existence is before God rescues us.
  
  
• Greens speak to us of the vibrancy of the New Life He give, but we dip it in Salt Water to remind us of the many tears we cried in our terribly slavery.
  
  
• Four Cups of Redemption are taken (two of which are mentioned in "The Last Supper" story in Luke.)  These are based on Exodus 6:6-7 and the four things Jehovah said HE would do when He set us free of slavery.  Each Cup speaks to an aspect of who Jesus is for us.
  
  
• And others !

We love to present JESUS IN THE PASSOVER - taking churches and Christian groups through the traditional Passover Seder - giving "not-yet" believers an opportunity to hear of Jesus in the way Jesus Himself explained who He is.  And for believers - this is a great opportunity to experience these traditions and tastes and as a result see and know Jesus even more than ever before!

Abraham is also a Worship Leader and can include traditional Jewish songs and Messianic Jewish praise and worship to give a complete Passover experience.

Some churches have our Passover Presentation for the Sunday Morning Worship service ... complete with praise and worship (we include some songs you and your church will know) and teaching from The Word throughout the traditional Seder - all lifting up Yeshua - Jesus so that people can be drawn to HIM.

Other groups have a Passover event in the evening.

Every Seder can be done without necessarily preparing and serving an entire meal.   (It is the Ceremonial Foods that "tell the story."  But for churches that enjoy the fellowship over a meal, we have traditional recipes that many have enjoyed over the years.)
